For many locals in IRB, fishing is a way of life! Not because they are dependent on it to feed their families, or to make a living - but because it provides them with a way to connect with nature and bring down their stress-levels. There you will find helpful staff that will happily share their knowledge of the local fish, types of bait to use, etc. And if you need a new rod or reel, they can guide you in your purchase. If charter fishing is more of what you have in mind, there's no shortage of knowledgable Captians that will be more than happy to take you out for a half/full day deep water charter experience. Many of our guests have enjoyed the experience of catching their own fish and bringing them home to cook-up on the BBQ. Others prefer to take their fresh catch to one of our local restaurants and have the chef prepare and cook it for them while they mingle, share their fish stories, and enjoy a cocktail or appetizer on the outdoor patio.
